Saint Leo University Chief Innovation Officer joins Campus (formerly known as Ucroo) after successfully implementing Campus at Saint Leo University.

Campus, the platform that better connects students with relevant people, information, and tools at university, has hired Dr. Jeff Borden, previously Chief Innovation Officer at Saint Leo University, as its new Chief Academic Officer.

Dr. Borden brings a profound knowledge of the education industry and is passionate about innovation. Having spearheaded a successful implementation of Campus at Saint Leo University, he will now assist universities to apply the unique platform to their own institutions.

“We created a complete learning ‘ecosystem’ at Saint Leo University so as to improve persistence, retention, and social satisfaction.  To accomplish that, I chose Campus as the gateway to that system and we indeed saw measurable results. As a result, I believe that I have a clear understanding of how organizations can use the platform to improve their student experience holistically and I want to help other colleges and universities find that same success.”

Dr. Borden is the seventh team member to join Campus’ U.S. office since it opened in Denver in 2017. This brings the company to a total of 20 people across three continents.

Co-founder James McCubbin commented, “Jeff’s decision to join the team is a strong indication of the value of our platform. He is very highly regarded in the industry and understands universities and their need to continually innovate. He will be a key driver of our growth.”

Co-founder Chase Williams added, “As a client, Jeff had a deep understanding of technology implementation. To have him educating other colleges on best practice implementation of Campus will be a major value-add for our current university partners and all future partners.”
