AI and the Liberal Arts Symposium 2026

We’re heading to the AI and the Liberal Arts Symposium, taking place October 16–17, 2026 at Connecticut College in New London, CT.
This two-day symposium convenes faculty, technologists, and academic leaders from liberal arts institutions across the country to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching, learning, and scholarship.
The program opens with a plenary panel — “The Year of an Awakening in the Liberal Arts” — featuring voices from Carleton, Amherst, Bowdoin, Connecticut College, and Denison, followed by the Harold F. Wiley Keynote from Dr. Jon Ippolito.
Across both days, attendees move between concurrent sessions, “The Great AI Debate,” and a closing reflection, with receptions and shared meals rounding out the collaboration.
