Pathify’s Events & Calendars integration enables institutions to link standard iCal (.ical) feeds to both the Events & Calendars feature and the Calendar Widget. This allows institutions to display events from one or multiple calendar feeds and provide users with the ability to toggle calendars on or off.
Calendar feeds are global and cannot support personalized queries, meaning the data retrieved must be relevant to all users. Examples include academic calendars, sporting event schedules, or public holidays.
The typical integration method for calendar feeds is via Pathify’s outbound API polling, with a cache refresh every two hours.
