University of West Alabama Chooses Campus to Deliver Modern Communication System

DENVER, June 16, 2020 – Campus, a contemporary mobile and web-based portal platform, has been chosen by the University of West Alabama (https://uwa.edu) a state-supported, coeducational public university in Livingston, Alabama, to replace an outdated portal with a modern system connecting people, processes, and platforms.

Recounting the decision to implement a new system, Mike Pratt (Director of Information Technology) said, “Our previous portal had atrophied to the point of being obsolete. To compensate we found ourselves relying on email to communicate with students, faculty, and staff which is bulky, ineffective, and heavily dependent on pushed content. We even created portal-like content for our website, including multiple internal and external “link farms,” but as our mobile app didn’t connect to these other systems the information was nearly impossible to access efficiently. We chose Campus to help us better engage our users technically, socially, through notifications, and with all resources from digital to human. We are particularly excited our students, faculty, and staff will be able to find just about any piece of information quickly with Campus’ incredible search functionality.”

Chase Williams, CEO at Campus commented, “We understand the needs of today’s university learners and facilitators. Information may be ubiquitous but that doesn’t always mean it’s easy to find.  Campus prides itself in the ability to ‘nudge’ people with exactly the right connection at exactly the right time. Connections can be people, systems, content, data, and so much more. Our customers really find that Campus can improve communication and context in ways that positively impact their culture.”

Adding another customer in Alabama is both rewarding and satisfying to Campus, as it reinforces the power of the platform. When various colleges and universities around the world utilize the Enrollment, Current Student, and/or Alumni experiences to better connect people to systems, content, and even each other, engagement and influence improves within – and even beyond – their community.
