About Your Hosts:
Mark Leary &
Julie Gumerman
Mark Leary, Director of Professional Services, started his career as a high school teacher where he developed a passion for the student experience that has followed throughout his almost twenty years in IT and education. He spent nine years at Embry Riddle University as the Academic Technology Director. During that time, he evaluated, purchased, implemented and supported all new EdTech solutions, including large-scale implementations and small integrations. Today, Mark brings that passion plus a wealth of knowledge and experience in EdTech systems and IT infrastructure to Pathify.
Julie Gumerman, Senior Sales Engineer, helps institutions design the art of the possible by diving into our core functionality, integrations, third-party systems and the technical lift required to make everything happen. She joined Pathify because of its core principles of connecting people with people. Prior to being a Sales Engineer, Julie worked as an integrations developer for a year and a half writing code for Pathify. She was also a middle school teacher for ten years before moving into technology. She’s a graduate of Lambda School’s fullstack web development bootcamp and holds two undergraduate degrees in English and Education plus a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction.
