Campus Partners with Truman State University as It Upgrades Communication System

As college and university administrators seek to better connect people and systems across all modalities, schools look to Campus for better experiences with people, processes, systems, and support.

DENVER, July 29, 2020 – Campus, a contemporary, mobile and web-based portal platform, today announced it has partnered with Truman State University. Truman State University (TSU), named for the former President, is a public university in Kirksville, Missouri. This fall, Truman State University will begin using Campus, an institutional communication tool designed with today’s student in mind.

Campus will replace Truman’s current service, TruView, and marks the first time in several years the University has upgraded its school-wide communication tool. In addition to being a cost-effective improvement, it is user friendly, especially on mobile devices. Students will find Campus similar to many common social media platforms they already take advantage of, leading to an immediate ease of use.

“By incorporating Campus as our new portal, we put the students’ needs first,” said Donna Liss, Truman’s chief information officer. “It should be a seamless transition for them, and it will be a valuable tool throughout their academic careers and even beyond.”

Chase Williams, CEO at Campus, is thrilled at the rapid adoption of the platform, especially in the midst of the pandemic. “We understand the needs of today’s university learners and facilitators. Information may be ubiquitous but that doesn’t always mean it’s easy to find. Campus prides itself in the ability to ‘nudge’ people with exactly the right connection at exactly the right time. Connections can be people, systems, content, data and so much more. Our customers really find that Campus can improve communication and context in ways that positively impact their culture.”

Truman’s Information Technology Services team plans to go live with Campus this school year, ensuring stronger communication, all manner of support, and holistic connection regardless of modality. The Campus solution should help bolster the institution’s infrastructure immediately.
